History
Arcadia Home for the Aged was established in 1983 in response to a need by the Greytown community for a safe home for their parents and relatives. It was established by local people and is strongly supported by local Greytown citizens. The management board is comprised of locals and most of the staff are locals.
The first Arcadia Golf Weekend was held in 2015, subsequently becoming an annual fundraiser supported by the community. Our two local golf courses, St. Cathryn’s Country Golf Estate & The Greytown Country Club, each host 18 holes of golf on Saturday & Sunday respectively. The weekend is primarily sponsored by Aheers Supermarket as well as a number of other generous local businesses listed in the Sponsors Section.
The winners of the AJ Hill floating trophy are the pairing with the highest number of points at the end of the weekend. In 2019 Day One and Day Two winners were introduced to commend not just the most consistently scoring pairings of the weekend, but the top performing pairs on each day as well.
